ABOUT ME

I am Christine (Krysia) Carson a self-taught realist artist living in Northern Ontario, Canada.  A daughter of Polish/Ukrainian immigrants I spent most of my early years drawing.  In love with horses, using my imagination and only having graphite and paper to work with my love of art began.  Life took me in a different direction professionally and there wasn’t much time for art.  I continued drawing sporadically over the years when time permitted. Much later in life a gift of beautiful professional-coloured pencils reunited me with my love of art and I have been drawing consistently ever since.  I draw animal portraits and wildlife, primarily using coloured pencils, occasionally working with soft pastels and other mediums.

I am pictured here with Ozzy.  He was a very special dog and is still missed.  I currently live with Ice a Siberian Husky and a rescue that I named Snow.  My dogs are my world.

Quality time with Ozzy. A lasting memory.
Young Ice. Beautiful and full of life.
Best friends and Happy together.
My beautiful little rescue Snow.
